Well, she's now constructing her own two-word phrases. That is to say, she's been saying things that are technically two words together for a while, but those were all canned phrases; e.g. "fall down" at the end of "Ring around the Rosie".

But she's now saying "up shoe" and "up shyock" when she wants her shoes or socks taken off. She'll come to us and say "up shoe, up shoe" to have us take her shoe off and then once we've done that she'll say "up shyock" to get us to remove her socks.

Yesterday I heard her say "up shammies" in the morning while pulling at her pajamas (which she's called "shammies" (for "jammies") in the past).

So that's another language development milestone.

How old is Katherine? My Amber is 19 months now, and is starting to repeat everything we say. "Amber, No." "NO NO NO". "That's mine" "mine mine mine". It's a fun stage! My older two didn't get to that point until a bit later.

Oh, my favorite one is when she has a dirty diaper. I'll ask if she's stinky, and she'll poke at the diaper saying "tinky tinky... eeeww yucky!"

Didn't mean to send you into shock... heehee! I actually have checked out your actual website a couple times (but it's woefully empty of info on your personal life), and just saw the reply in Naomi's journal.

Miss Amber was born on Feb 1, so it's almost exactly 1 month (she was born during the infamous "costume malfunction" superbowl). And I think Katherine is just learning the important stuff early on - get used to hearing "Daddy, money!" more often as she gets older!
