If it helps any, Primerica is a financial services company that trains people to do such things as mortgages, insurance, and investments. My financial advisor, for instance, works for Primerica. They train up independent contractors and work very word of mouth. They are completely compliant with all the federal mandates regarding the financial realm, so are in fact not a pyramid scheme.

Most of the folks that I've met there (I've done the beginning bits of training in Cali and could, if I was out there, actually set people up with mortgages) have been extremely nice and motivated and perky. :) I saw a lot of value in their meetings/training sessions, even though I was less than thrilled by the concept of working in the financial sector.
